Managing Partner
Jan W. Dane, Managing Partner, has been engaged in the acquisition, management, and sale of commercial real estate since the 1980’s. Initially, he focused on hotel investments. In 1982 with 5 hotels and 800 hotel rooms, he was the largest hotel operator in the Fort Lauderdale area. In the late 1980’s, Jan switched his concentration to office buildings and a few years later to shopping centers. In 1992, Jan founded DIM, B.V., a Dutch Corporation, and through this organization he initiated 16 partnerships, which successfully invested in 18 commercial real estate projects in the United States which have all been sold.
In 1996, he founded DIM Vastgoed, a Dutch Real Estate Fund, which invests exclusively in commercial real estate located in the Southeast United States. This fund went public in 1999 and is currently listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange with a total asset value worth approximately $425 million. During his career, Jan has initiated over $1.5 billion of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financing.
Jan, as Managing Director, has been primarily responsible for developing relationships with the capital markets in Europe. |
